Google partners question

Hi Everyone, I am new to adwords and just created a campaign almost 24 hours ago. It has so far registered 75 clicks and cost me nearly $14 via GOOGLE PARTNER sites. However, I just received an email from google (1 hour ago) to say that my ad will be live in 24 hours. I'm a little confused. Also, I only want my potential customers to find me via a google search and not a google partner. How do I deactivate the google partners option?

I tried to call google but they are not answering calls at the moment here in Australia and the live chat was not an option.

Thanks in advance.

On your campaign management page, at Google.com/Adwords:

SETTINGS > NETWORKS > EDIT

then de-select "Include search partners"

Sounds like your campaign is running.  Sometimes things happen faster than anticipated; there are also delays (typ 3 hrs) in Google reporting. If you are seeing clicks and impressions accumulating, then it's running.

Hi @Philip B

Hope you are well. I would like to add to this if i may.

Aside from @Steve B advice, it may be worth leaving the partners site option running for a short while, from my experiences I have found they can drive additional conversions and contacts, and i find on the majority of time for cheaper than the google search engine itself. I certainly wouldn't turn it off until you are confident the partners sites aren't fulfilling your objectives.

Worth a punt Smiley Happy

Kindest regards

James

Good plan - @James Edw Goode had an great point! Google search partners can deliver valuable clicks in many campaigns.
