Google Adwords Consultation - Left Me High-and-Dry Again and Again

So, I worked with a Google AdWords specialist a couple months ago. He made some wholesale changes to my account setup (even sent me an email allowing him approval to make changes). Ever since, my account has underperformed. He promised me a follow-up call, then blew me off at the designated time. We rescheduled and he blew me off again. I tried calling Google AdWords to schedule a new meeting (per their VM tree), left multiple messages, and no one ever returned my call. I have called Google AdWords customer service twice. The first time the person said they would escalate to their supervisor and that someone would call me back in two days. Nope. The second time, I was told I have a new account representative. She game me his name. I have scheduled calls with him twice via the calendar scheduler and he has blown me off both times. What a joke? Can any other company get away with taking $15K from me annually and then provide such horrible customer service!!???

Hi Scott,

i will suggest you to hire some expert, and yes not from Google. Go to the adwords history and check what changes are affecting your performance.

If it was a Google employee, then who was/is managing the account?

I also had a bad experience with someone from Google. He called me and requested manager access to some of my accounts along with a lot of promises. Fortunately I read the pop-up with Google's warning when I wanted to grant him access and denied it. The next day he called again enquiring why I refused the access. I told him that I was sceptical after reading the pop-up and he made more promises.

I then sent him an email stating that he was not to make any changes to my accounts but should send me an email suggesting the changes and that the final decision would rest with me. He replied and accepted my conditions. I then approved his access. Since then he has disappeared into thin air. Mails I sent him regarding problems with the accounts remain unanswered.

My advice is read all warnings from Google and do as they say. The pop-up I reacted to did state that I should reach a written agreement with him first. Guess that's what scared him away.

Th guys at Google's help centre (Google Ireland) is super. They resopnd quickly and their advice has always been good.
