Hi there! My name is Karen Mathias and I'm part of the Ads Quality team. Today’s post will cover the fundamentals of AdWords Account suspensions for unauthorized activity. We continuously review AdWords accounts for suspicious activity. If we find that your AdWords account has been compromised, we will temporarily disable your Google Account to minimize damage to your account. If your Google Account is temporarily disabled, you will not be able to use any Google products like YouTube, Gmail, Google Adsense, etc. linked with that particular account.

In case you find your account disabled, we are here to help!

To get your account ready to go again, simply fill out our Google Account recovery form. Once you have recovered your Google Account, we will begin investigation of your Adwords Account. During the investigation process, we will remove the bad campaigns, process any reimbursements and reactivate your AdWords account. We will send a detailed investigation report within 2 business days.

In some cases with ongoing security concerns, account reinstatement isn't possible until after you contact us to report an issue. In that case, here is what to do:

  1. Report the issue to us and request an investigation using this form. Make sure to fill in the details as accurately as possible. A specialist will review the case and take action within 2 business days.
  2. If you have a dedicated Google account management team, contact them right away.

If you have any questions, please post them below.
