Delete account I created myself in My Client Centre

I read some threads about this, but it seems that there still isn't a solution for this simple issue.

A couple of weeks ago I created a new AdWords Account within my MCC account. But I made a mistake and I simply want to delete it. 

 

After years of debating and a lot of annoyance, Google is still not able to resolve such a small issue?

It looks like I first have to create a useless Google Account, so that I can connect this Account to and then unlink it from within my MCC.

 

How crazy is that?

 

Did someone at Google not read the KISS-manual?

 

I guess I will have to live with a dead account in my MCC and the only option is to hide it.

Un-f**-believable.

 

PS And don't talk BS to me about how this all makes sense.... because it doesn't.

For most people, hiding the account would provide the same user experience as deleting it.

If that doesn't work for you, I suggest that you create a useless Google account and unlink it - this will only take a few minutes.

accounts can only be canceled or unlinked;
accounts cannot be deleted, by design.

Yes, you told that over and over again on this forum.
Its a design flaw that Google should have solved.
I can understand this concept for accounts you got access to from a customer.
For campaigns I created myself I think its bad design.

the behavior likely stems from legal
requirements, more than technical.
