Trying to accept an invitation from my client to view and edit his campaigns. well I'm getting this error "This Google Account is already associated with the maximum number of AdWords accounts. To proceed, please enter a different email address." and I have an MCC account, so I'm real unsure.

If you have an MCC account, you have to get their Customer ID and request access via your manager account . Go to https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/6139186?hl=en and scroll down to "Linking an existing AdWords account"

Hi,

Instead of accepting the invitation from the client, you send the invitation request from your manager account.
Follow the process shared by Phillip in the link.
