Hi there, how does Adwords allow sbrated.com to promote gambling for months but nobody else. Keyword football betting USA. He is cloaking his site so they don't see but it is a gambling site. http://www.google.com/aclk?sa=L&ai=C8ltOLCa1UMHyNsua6wHHzIDwBa6lyvUC1rGwyRyggPMECAAQAVD4nYfqBWDJlvmI...

I've sent multiple reports yet nothing is done. Already 4 months!

This is the response I receied from Adwords Specialist regarding somewhat of the same issue:

"Due to huge number of advertisers and their products it takes some time for us to disabled the website which are violating Google policies."

Hopefully this helps!

Hi Rtansi99,

It looks to me like Gambling and Casinos are part of the restricted group of ads and do appear to be allowed but under certain circumstances (which vary from country to country).  Please take a look at the policy here:  http://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=176014 - There are links to apply for such status on this page as well.  I cannot comment however on whether or not these particular sites are allowed or in violation, we'd have to leave that to the Policy Enforcement Teams.  I'd be interested to hear your perspective on why you think they are not allowed to be promoted.

Cloaking however, is a different story and definitely against policy.  Can you further elaborate about how they are cloaking? According to the policy definitions"Google AdWords doesn't allow cloaking or gaming (techniques for displaying different content to users than to Google)"

The ads seem clear to me:

The Top 10 Sports Books - Looking for the best sportsbooks?
www.sbrated.com/
Read reviews of the top 10 picks.

The page shows the Top 10 Sports Books

I'm in no way denying the validity of your argument but I am curious if you could elaborate and educate me on how you have come to these conclusions.

I'm honestly interested...this is a new topic for me.

-Tom

It's just a very spammy site. For one it's a site that is generating income via "affilliate program" as the links from all of the lackluster reviews include an affilliate variable in the URL.

For me, I would consider this a doorway page / bridge page and it's soul purpose is to send you to another site, where money is generated via being an affilliate of the sites listed. It's an unneccessary step in the sales funnel.

Not Acceptable: Websites that feature links to other websites while providing minimal or no added functionality or unique content for the user: Unique content includes, but isn't limited to, original user reviews and ratings

I'd also like to point out that the landing page has this copy:

"Votes: 88"

This isn't a very credible claim, especially considering there is no way for me as a consumer to cast my vote. So where are these votes coming from, there should be a clear disclaimer letting users know where they acquired this information / data.

Last thing, I promise.

I'd also like to point out that this page doesn't showcase any unique content.

http://www.instantsportsbetting.com/nfl-betting-sites.html

I would also consider this to be classified as "duplicate" content which doesn't help the end user, as they could find this information else where. The site may also be infringing upon someone elses copyright, as there is tons of sites with the same exact copy within the landing page being advertised within Adwords.

Can't really argue these points at all...I in no way found the site useful nor did I analyze it a whole lot.  It would appear that there could be numerous potential violations here.

@Rtansi99 - what have you previously reported about this site?  I think there are different channels to use depending on the complaint.

If we can solidify a concrete argument here, I may be able to get someone involved or at least recommend that it be reviewed for such violations.

After further investigation, I'm also under the impression the site is using some sort of cloaking because there is no preview of the site and it's been advertising for over 4 months now. There should be a preview image listed after that amount of time.

By doing a site index search, I find it odd that the domain doesn't show up organically, except for a failed installation of zencart.

It just looks very shady to be honest.

Hi there, sorry I had to create a new forum username as my password doesn't seem to be working. I created the account on the ipad so I think the spellcheck might have screwed up the typing.

Anyhow I have reported him multiple times in the last 4 months. But he has been up for longer I believe. He is cloaking his real page to google because he shows them a page with no links to any gambling sites but to us and everyone else I think see his site with the links to all these betting sites.

Thats in addition to him copying other people's content.

But I've tried literally every possible medium to report this to no avail. If you know of a better one I'm all ears but I've figured since they aren't doing anything this must be allowed? But from what I gather if you or I do something like this we will be banned rather quickly for violating multiple terms of google.
