adwords rules regarding vouchers

i have a client who has different sites e.g.

customisedbusinescards.com
leafletprinting.com
restuarantmenupprinting.com

as an example.

He wants to know if he can open different adwords accounts for each site (with the same billing) and use free adwords vouchers.

Is this allowable. Although each website targeted different segments, and there will be no crossover of keywords at all. They're all registered under one business.

I doubt he is allowed todo this and advised him not to. But I would like clarification on this.

I think the rules were you can use a voucher if you have a new account less than 14 days old and the business/individual is new to adwords, so they have new billing details.

Hello;

The general rule is one business --> one account. The question is what is a business?

Two domains are considered different businesses, if they target different products / brands with different pricing.. The full rules and Policy are listed in the following link:

However, I would not take the chance of getting into suspension, just for a voucher, and would NOT open a second account!

Since they're the same business, no.  He should not do this.  There's a very high likelihood that the accounts would all get suspended.  We'd probably catch this even if the billing weren't the same on the accounts, but the identical billing will be a huge red flag and make a suspension almost certain.

Hey Laura,

And how does this refer to MCC managers? Some of my clients insist upon getting all the media bills from me. In this case I need to open their accounts for their business, but pay Google's bills by myself, and obviously charge them. It means that I might have several different accounts (for several different clients) with identical billing details.

So is it OK?

Thanks,

Arnon

Hi, Arnon

Sorry, I have no idea on that one.  Good question, though!  Hopefully some of the other advertisers and account managers on the forum know the answer.  I know a lot of the TCs manage clients' accounts via MCC and have probably dealt with this.

Hi Arnon!

Great question! For MCC acocunts, I would recommend setting up a credit line with Google and using Monthly Invoicing. This way, you can apply the same credit line to multiple AdWords accounts, even if they are for different businesses, and then you can bill your clients directly.

Hope this helps!

Hi LindzB,

Thank you for your reply. I presume that "Great Question" actually means a very tough one..

However, It's about some small accounts that their total billing does not meet the required minimum for the monthly Invoicing system.

Since this is a matter of iterpretation of Google's advertising policy, it is essential for me to be surer that paying with my credit card for several accouns (for several MCC clients) with identical billing details is acceptable and approved by Google.

Thanks,

Arnon

Hello Arnon,

Sincere apologies for the late reply! The holidays kicked in around the time you posted your last question, so things got very busy over here Smiley Happy

Regarding using the same credit card to pay for different AdWords accounts, if the clients are completely unique and there is no reason for our sytem to suspect foul play, it should be fine. However, I can't access the details of how the system determines that, so I can't say with 100% certainty that none of the accounts will have issues. If you find that this does happen, you can always call 866-2-GOOGLE and we can evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

Happy 2013!
