hi

I've been running these ads for 5 months with no problems then out the blue my keywords say eligible status, restricted product etc etc, apply for permission. responded that i have a licence certificate and already been ok'd and running for 5 months. No real explanation just bullying there terms and conditions that they have the right to stop any ads/keywords without reason or explanation.

i then got the following response from there support team :-

"

Hello,

We understand that your ads may have been running on Google as well as the Google Network for certain keywords in the past. We've reviewed your account and found that we're no longer showing your ads for the following keywords:

bingo, bingo bonus, bingo online, bingo site, etc and all other bingo related keywords

They show eligible but do not show though you have a certificate now.

We've decided not to allow ads to run on certain terms and we apologise for any inconvenience this change may cause.

As a business, Google must make decisions regarding the advertising that we accept. As stated in our Terms and Conditions*, Google may refuse any ads or close down·any of your ad campaigns at any time, for any reason.

Please note that this only concerns our advertising and in no way affects the search results that we deliver. Google offers broad access to content across the web without censoring results.

We appreciate your comments on this issue, which will help inform our future policy discussions.

Thanks

Hi thanks for reply, my website address is http://www.meerkatbingo.co.uk, it provides users with a database of online bingo sites together with the best bonus offers out there, reviews etc. I made the mistake of revamping the site and this is when the problem occured after a changed the ad a bit and added a few more keywords, but the problems arose with the existing ones after resubmission

cheers

Are you complying with the gambling section of the policy for the UK?

"Google allows ads promoting the following online gambling as long as the advertiser is registered with the Gambling Commission and provides a valid operating license number."

Hi Thanks for reply yes i applied and did what they said month ago and received this response in may, as i am advertising gambling content not providing it. you have to apply for aggregator licence. which i did and was approved. the funny thing is i tried an experiment and changed my budget to a silly amount and strangely my impressions activated again but still said the ad wasnt running even though i was getting clicks on the keywords the support staff reported i had been stopped from using,

Thank you for your recent Google AdWords application to advertise online gambling. We're pleased to let you know that your application has been approved, and you'll be able to advertise for online gambling with AdWords Customer ID   95**078-*16   and website  meerkatbingo.co.uk..

Note that in the future, there's no need to apply separately for multiple sub-domains or sub-directories if the top domain is already approved. For example, if your account is approved to advertise online gambling on [google.com], there’s no need to apply for the following URLs: [casino.google.com], [google.com/gambling].

Hello again;

I am a bit confused with your last answer:

 >>.".Yes i applied and did what they said month ago and received this response in May..."

  • What did you apply for? Who is  "they"?

  • Are you aware that gambling ads are restricted?

"Google assigns a family status to all ads to make sure that ads are shown to an appropriate audience. Gambling products such as the ones above will be given a "non-family" status if they adhere to our policies. In your account, you should see "Approved (limited)" in the Status column of your Ads tab if your advertised products adhere to our policies."
