Your Google AdWords account has been suspended because your billing information

I am very frustrated with Google.

I am creating a new account and have yet to even launch the campaign and the first thing I received from them is this message.

Your Google AdWords account has been suspended because your billing information in this or a related account could not be verified. Learn more

The credit card is brand new just received it last month and I have yet to used it on any other accounts. I tried calling in and when I key in my customber Id, I was greeted with the message that your account has been suspended and we are unable to provide any additional information.

Has anyone ran into this situation, I have no idea why my billing information could not be verified. What does it really mean?

Hi,

Yes, I have encountered this issue.  My problem was that the billing details given in the account was not matching with that of the card's.  As you said its a new card, did you make atleast one purchase or is the card active?

Try to add another credit card and check whether that can get the account active?

Thanks,

Nimesh.

Hi novaflex,

Have you asked your credit card provider? Sometimes they will decline charges on things like AdWords, and it's more likely to happen with a new card. Just a thought. It's happened around here where the charge was declined for no real good reason.

Also, check all the billing details to be sure they are all correct.

Best of Luck!

Pete

Thanks everyone with your comments and suggessions.

I've tried calling my CC company and they said nothing was ever charged to my CC yet, and usually from what I know Google charges a few bucks or so just to verify your account.

Apart from that I have no idea what is wrong with it, and I am planning to use it to create multiple accounts as I have many products to promote through Adwords, but this has not been a great experience and I do not want to create a new account without knowing why I got suspended.

Any other advices?

Hi Bilbo

Hope you are doing well. I am seeing the same error message that "the account or related accounts has been suspended because google could not verify the billing info".

Now,it is the first time I encountered such a message and thus I got a bit tensed. I created this account for a friend/client of mine about 3 weeks back, though I did not enter any billing info at that time as I did not receive any form of payment from the client.(I entered the business info and stuff and also created one campaign to get the ads approved)

The account suspension mail came on 4 June and just for the info I also entered a promotional code which was successfully accepted in the account on 1 June.( This was the promo code which I did not particularly receive on this account's associated google mail ID)

I realized about this suspension on 8 june when I logged in the account to finally enter the credit card details which I received from the client on that day itself. The payments settings are "manual".

I called google support on record of my MCC account as I was not able to get through the IVR on my client's customer ID. Though they have promised me to provide a reasonable explanation but I just want to discuss the matter with as many related people to have a better insight on the same.

Also, the credit card which my client has right now to link to this new account, has been associated with another adwords account in the past and is still linked with that. Both the businesses are of the same "industry type".

There is a policy of one adwords account per advertiser and I want to know if the integration of this credit card would create a problem? Also he is not comfortable cancelling that old adwords account.

Should I go ahead and ask him to enter the credit card with the new adwords account( currently suspended) so that the billing information can be verified by google?

Please,provide an insight.Waiting for it
