Can someone please advise if a Telephone Number is used in the body of the advert itself is this acceptable or could the advert be banned?

I was told this evening its not acceptable!

Thanks, Mark

And whoever told you that gets 10 points - Google stopped allowing telephone numbers in the ad copy some months ago (if not more)

You should now look to use call extensions to get your telephone number added to your ad - if you put the number in your body text you wont get banned, but your ad will be disapproved until you fix it.

Hi Mark

As stickleback said, unfortunately after the enhanced campaign update you
are not allowed to use phone numbers in top 3 lines of text ads which are
headline, description line 1 and description line 2 but still you can
Display URL to show your number. If your display URL is short enough that a
phone number can be adjusted their then use it. For e.g. if your domain
name is then you can use "" or "".

Since the call extension don't work on display network with cpa bidding so
i am using it this way.

Hope this helps!
