If I'm serving ads through Adwords, will .SWF ads automatically stop serving come today, 9/1? I've seen reports, such as this article (http://blog.dynamiccreative.com/blog/chrome-blocks-flash-by-default-adwords-to-stop-serving-flash-ad... claiming this. I understand this goes along with the chrome browser change. Since Adwords doesn't allow us to block certain browsers, we want to make sure .SWF exclusive ads are NOT serving to chrome browsers.

This is what the article says.. please confirm!

So what are the implications of this for advertisers?

Ads through a 3rd Party:

Those who are serving ads through a 3rd Party, the ads will still show but all ads will require the user to click to play the ad resulting in much lower CTRs and overall performance on the ad.

Ads through Google:

For those serving ads through Google AdWords, it means you will have to upgrade all your current Flash ads (.swf files) to HTML5 format. AdWords will stop serving Flash ads as of the 1st of September so it is recommended that users upgrade their ads before the September deadline.

Any word on this? Since Google owns both products, I was hoping to get a full clarification.
