Payday Policy Question
I've just started managing an adwords account for a UK personal loan provider and was just after some policy clarification if possible?
I can see this site - sunny.co.uk - advertising on many keywords including "loans" and "payday loans" (I know there are no restrictions on which keywords advertisers can use) but they appear to have worked around the part of the policy which states "loans of 60 days or less will not be allowed" by offering loans of 6 or 14 months which can be paid back well within 60 days by adding this statement:
"*Based on a 30 day month. The loan term is fixed for 6 or 14 months but you can repay early at anytime. Max APR 1635%"
Surely if one can repay at any time then that constitutes offering a loan of less than 60 days? It's a pretty dirty workaround but I was just after the communities opinion on whether this is allowed according to the policy here https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/2464998?hl=en
Re: Payday Policy Question
Payday loans are not allowed to be promoted;
>>"In that vein, today we’re sharing an update that will go into effect on July 13, 2016: we’re banning ads for payday loans and some related products from our ads systems. We will no longer allow ads for loans where repayment is due within 60 days of the date of issue."
BTW: in the older version, there WAS a restriction of the keywords to be used.
