Modal popup allowed or not?

I want to use adwords to drive traffic to one of my pages which opens a modal popup after a user has been on the page for a while.

Now, this is not a popup per se, since it opens in the same browser window, and can be easily closed.

I have heard of horror stories of accounts been banned for "grey" areas like this, so before I do this, can some expert kindly help me out here.

As for the rest of the page, it has great content that is very helpful to the user.

Also, I am not poppingup any extra windows or spamming the user when he/she chooses to leave the site. Just the one single modal window after a delay.

Can someone please check it out and tell me if this could be a problem. Here is the the link to my page.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Amod

This is covered under the pop up policy

What's the policy?

Google AdWords doesn't allow pop-ups to appear when users enter or leave your landing page. We consider a pop-up to be any window, regardless of content, that opens in addition to the original window.

We've created this policy to provide a positive experience for our users.

You can read here more about the Pop up policy

Hi Amod,

In general as per the policy, pop ups are not allowed on a landing page where a user enters or leaves. It creates a kind of a hindrance when the user might be reading the information on the page and is distracted. More details here:

Also, I went through your landing page once and it's a weight loss program page, which is really a sensitive category. There has to be realistic expectations and the page has to be in compliance with the policies. Make sure you are adhering to the policies:

I have a similar question I'm hoping you can help me out with please Smiley Happy) ok so Google doesn't allow for an exit pop on the landing page, does this mean I am allowed to use an exit pop on a different page ie like the page people click to after the landing page like for example maybe the order form? (this isn't the "landing" page)

Thank you in advance!
