Misleading Advertisement

Hi , my name is Jaipal, i running  a small business from past 30 years, my competitor recently changed his business name ,mimicking my business name and advertising in Google ,i am loosing clients who are going to my competitors business thinking they are seeing me, i have registered my Business name as well as registered the same business name as Trademark,and my competitor does not have any registration for his business name and also he does not have any Trademark, what should i do

Hi Jaipal,

Google's TM policies restrict the use of TM terms in the ad text only. So using them in keywords and website URL is still possible. However, if you notice some one else using your TM term in the ad text, you can request Google to take it down. I'd suggest reading this article more for info and next steps on raising a request.

Hi Jaipal,

You will have to start advertising on Google AdWords for your brand terms. Use the brand name in your ad copy. Also to make it look more authentic, you could use things like the TM or copyright symbol or have something like "official website" in the ad.
Also, please see the links below for trademarks on Google AdWords. If you register your trademark with Google, then no other advertiser will be able to use your brand name in their ads.
