hi, we are doing PPC for a client through our website, as his website is not that good. So my doubt is can we have the Landing Page on my website and thank you page on his website? i know it's not wise thing to do , but in order to retain a client we must do this. Does google penalize? Please let me know ASAP thanks in advance.

Hello, Girish.

My opinion (though I would not suggest that Hannah should not contact a specialist) is that it is clearly not allowed.

If the website / company offering the services is your client, then this is where the traffic should land. Landing page (and website) quality is an essential factor in grading a website or a landing page, and using a landing page on another domain in order to bypass a "not that good' website is, in my view, not the way to go.

If your client needs to advertise with AdWords then he should make sure that the advertised website is

a) his
b) a good quality one

My 2 cents.

Hi Girish,

I agree with Calin that it sounds like this would be a direct violation of our Bridge Page policy. However, I have passed your question onto our AdWords support team who will be able to give you a definite answer once they get some more specifics from you.

Let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Carazoo,

It really depends on what you're doing. It sounds like this could fall under our Bridge Page policy. bridge page, also known as a doorway page, is a webpage created for the main purpose of sending visitors to a different site.

The only exception we have to this policy are websites that lead to e-commerce platforms on another domain, for example, a shop that leads to a third-party site that purely acts as a secure server to process payments and isn't a shop itself.

Let me know if you have any questions about this or would like me to pass this issue to our AdWords support team would be able to give you a more specific answer once they get a few more details from you.
