Is this Double Serving?

Hello all!

Say we want to advertise for 2 independent Auto Repair shops (shops are different by all means, but providing similar services, like engine repair, transmission flush, etc), located in the same area (say 3-4 miles from each other), target radius 10 mi for each, so they can intersect. Obviously we want them both to show when queried.

Each campaign is running under different AdWords account, use different domain and different LPs, but both accounts are linked to our own MCC account, will this violate Double Serving Policy on our side if we decide to launch them?

Thank you!

D

The question is what do you mean by "independent" - are those different business owners? Are you targeting different websites?

Different owners, different websites. Only thing in common is both Adwords accounts are under our MCC account.

If so; you are fine with the Policy. This would be considered "competition". You are not in violation of the double serving.

Thank you Moshe.

What if we will advertise for Auto Repair and this shop will also advertise "in-house"? Will it be Double Serving if we use different DestURL (if say we create a separate landing page)?

Yes; In this case this would be a violation. (Targeting the same domain, owned by the same owner- using different accounts.)

If is it the same business entity (there is only one repair shop) - then it is a violation, no matter how many different domains).

Even if owners of the accounts are not affiliated by any means? Not trying to cheat the system here, just looking for options.

Correct! This is the essence  / nature of the double serving:  one business - one account.
