Hey Again,

Google does not register trademarks. Trademarks are registered by the national office of a particular country in which the trademark applies.

It seems you are from India: check this http://goo.gl/rWZKPT

Hi Vineet,

Once you have registered your trademark in your country, feel free to fill  out the Trademark Complaint Form here: https://services.google.com/inquiry/aw_tmcomplaint

Under the 'Scope of Complaint' section, make sure to select the 'all advertisers' option. Your trademark will then be added to the AdWords database.

I hope this helps!

Hey Vineet,

You can register your Brand as Trademark not Keywords. Even you registered the same. There is no difference. Advertisers will be restricted from using the term (Brand Name or Book Name) in their Ad text but not in their Keywords.

For an example, I can use "Jungle Book" as a Keyword, but I couldn't put "Jungle Book" as a headline for text Ad. Even I'll go put your name is ad head, adwords allow the use of that trademarked term in the Ad itself, Untill get complain about it.

PS: My answer based on Ads for Books with "Jungle Book" is example of Book name.

Hi Kandarp,

thanks for your answer, yes i am aware about the Google's policy of using trademark keywords for bidding and ad text.

But just for the sake of saving our brand from misleading message by competitors we want to have trademark on Google so that no-one can use our term in their Ad copies.

Would be great if you can share where i can apply for same?
