Google Policy Violations

Hi, a few months ago one of our merchant centre feeds was rejected beacause our prices were displayed in the feed excluding VAT. I corrected it in line with Google's policies and re-submitted the feed with prices including VAT.

But at the moment we seem to be competing with a lot of companies who are getting away with displaying prices ex VAT prices, which obviously makes us look uncompetitive.

I've submiited the policy violation form through merchant centre help and as yet nothing has been done. Is anybody else having the same problem?

Cheers,

Neil

Hi Neil,

I'm going to reach out to one of our specialists to have them collect those competitors' details. They'll reach out via email.

Hi Neil,

I can't speak to whether or not others are having the same issue, but you definitely made the right move in submitting competitors that violate our policies through that form. It can take the team a bit of time to parse through those submissions, but we'll definitely be working to ensure we apply our policies fairly across the board.

I have reported several companies and nothing has happened, yet they called us to say we had violated the policy and a big client of goggle had complained. maybe it's because we do not spend enough money with them. It seems google lets larger companies get away with it. You are also supposed to include delivery charges as well and from all the results that came up using the keyword suggestion boxes every single search result that came up was violating the policy, how this is fair and transparent I do not know and how is the customer supposed to benefit from this?
