How do you know what if the lead is coming from Google Campaign or a Generic search?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

How do you know if your paying Google Campaign is working?

Does anyone understand which one is coming on a pay per click or Generic where google does not charge you??

I have not been able to figure this out.  Does anyone understand google coding?

Also any referral links that come in from google must say google? Or it can just be a link that would have your store name it and not says google??

From my sale here are my referral selling links to some of my sale here are the links

From my selling links to some of my sale here are the links

I am trying the despiser from my sales which clicks I am paying for

Here is what I am seeing from the referral pages that come from Google:

This one clearly sates in this link Google Campaign so I know that this comes from that

This one just says Google:  so I am assuming this one is generic??   Is this true or somehow related to my campaign?

https://www.google.com/

this says google but does not show if generic or from campaign

When the it says renacollectibles  I am thinking it may have come in using google or not but it does not say google do all leads from google must say google.

This one I assume has nothing to do with google?

Hi Rena,
Quite a few question there with quite a lot of overlap! Welcome to the community.

The first thing you need to do is install conversion tracking in AdWords:
https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722022?hl=en

I would also recommend that you look into Google Analytics as this allows you to see and compare the various sources of traffic and sales.

You may also want to look up eCommerce tracking in Google Analytics and AdWords, however, this is a little more advanced.

If I was in your position, I'd start with setting up AdWords conversion tracking or hiring someone to do this for you. It's really not a good idea to be spending money on AdWords if you don't know how much of a return you're getting. The article I posted above is a good start. Here's exactly how do it including a video:

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722054?hl=en

Then I'd go and do the Google Analytics academy course. It takes about two hours and it's free. It will give you a good grounding in how to track your various sources of tracking.

Hope that helps.
