For disapproved sitelinks extensions

Tried to submit several sitelinks to increase CTR, however it all showed "disapproved". And the reason shows that"Destination URL Not Working" however, am confused as there is nothing wrong with my URL and it can be opened normally for all. I do understand that you want to keep everything goes well, but sorry I do not know what to do to fix this issue. Currently what makes me most concerned is that whether the disapproved sitelinks will produce negative effects on my accounts even though I have removed them all..

Hey Nala,

You do not have to worry about the disapproval having a negative effect on your account. That being said I would still get to the bottom of this and find out why the destination URL is being shown as not working. Perhaps you are entering it in incorrectly?

The reason I say this is that sitelinks should be a standard feature on all your ads as google has announced that they play a role in QS now. So without them you are losing out.

What are you using as the destination URL?
what is the destination URL of the ad itself?

Hope this helps

Hi Nala,

Are you adding the URL with the http: part in site links?

Hello Nala,

A few disapprovals won't hurt, as long as you don't keep repeating the same violation over and over again.  Google does give a lot of leniency for ad disapprovals for "destination url not working."  However, their grace isn't unlimited so keep a tight lid on it.

Now as far as your issue,  I typically see several reasons why this happens:

1. You have tracking code on the site that is interferring with the Google bots or the tracking parameters that google puts on your ads is interferring with your tracking parameters.

2. You have a "Do Not Follow" in your robot file.

3. Site loading too slow

4. tag your extension with "http" when it is a secured "https" SSL

5. You have a redirecting destination url extension

6. Pure Google bot mistake

7. The display url and the destination url don't match up

These are the most common I see.  You may need to contact support if none of the above work.
