External Links

Has anyone else been told they can't have external links on their page? I have ads that won't run and have been told it's because of external links per the adwords support message below.

"But while our specialist team re-reviewed the website www.kidspartyfun.com, it is still violating our polices. There are few links which redirect the page to another domain which is not allowed."

The only external links are from my social media icons (facebook, twitter, g+). I can't believe I'm expected to remove these from site.

Hi Jamie,

I just did a quick 30 secs click around your site and noticed that there was at least one 404 link. I know that 'broken' links can cause issues, so perhaps make sure that you have no broken links anywhere.

Another thing is that some of your text is hyperlinked to another domain. The first one I found was the word "knight" that linked to:
http://www.printactivities.com/ColoringPages/Knights/Knight-Coloring-Pages.html

I am not sure of the exact policy rules regarding this, perhaps one of the local policy experts can help you out. But this makes your text/website look like its riddled with malware, with all the hyperlinked words, some of which go to other domains.

Hope you resolve the situation

Hi

Im sure google team is not talking about the social media links in your home page. Having social media links is not violation.

Can you tell us what is the destination URL you using for your ads?

If you using this coupon page as destination URL , the external links on that page can be the issue

Thanks for your reply Clynton. My adwords ads link to my home page which doesn't have any external links except for social media.

I do have external links on other pages, but only where I feel they add value. For example the coloring page you mention is on a page about a Knight-themed children's party and is a suggested activity. Why would a link like this seem like malware?

Thanks for your reply Nisal. My adwords ads link to my home page and the only external links there are my social medial links.
