Does Match Negative Keywords Needs to be SIMILAR to the Match Type of the Added Keywords?

i know, it doesn't has to be necessarily similar, but i have my keyword match type as 'phrase' and negative keywords match type as 'broad, will this combination still work?

Hello Harsher,

 

yes, it will work just fine! In fact if you really need to block the exact same search term, it does not matter whether you use broad, phrase or exact - all negative match types would be fine in this case.
