Company Building Fake Sites to Direct Traffic to Original Site?

I have placed two complaints regarding a site using these technique of building a separate sites which display the same address and contact details of the main site and direct their traffic to their main site. Not only they have the Same Contact details but also the same activity and confirmed same owners of domains, the information was forwarded to Google. Till date they continue now occupying the First and Second Ad Spots on Major Keywords.

1. Should we be following the same practices to be able to show our selves also?

2. How many such dummy sites are they allowed to continue to have before they are stopped?

3. How come there is no penalty for such unfair practice?

thnx

Maz.

Hi Maz,

If  understood correctly you are saying that someone is advertising multiple websites with same business using different AdWords accounts. It looks like violation of Double Serving Policy. More details on the policy here: https://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/answer/6020954?hl=en

To be honest with you, a long term continuation on Google AdWords require advertisers to be adhering the AdWords Policies and doesn't indulge in any violation, which may cause bad consequences.

You can advertise multiple websites but from within the same account if the business is same.

I am sure if the violators are not penalised, they would be as soon as possible. I can suggest you to fill up this form and provide as much details as possible so that Google can investigate that: https://support.google.com/adwords/troubleshooter/4578507?rd=1
