Clarification on information harvesting & "win cash" websites

Hello, I was hoping for some clarification regarding the information harvesting policy in terms of promoting certain types of websites.  I read the policy and thought that it meant that websites that offered prizes, or chances at prizes were not permitted to advertiser at all.

For example, you can find ads that point to the Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes when you search for "win cash" and you end up on a page that offers you the chance to win a check for life if you enter your email address and contact information.

Am I not reading/applying the policy correctly?

Thank you in advance for any input!

Regards,

Belinda

Hello;
In this case the major section of the Policy that applies s the "Casino and gambling".
The " information harvesting" refers to the case in which a free gift is given in exchange for personal information. (no lottery)

Hi there, thank you so much for replying, and for directing me there. I read the policy information for the UK, just so I understand the distinction--

In the example I used, PCH is promoting a lottery-type of drawing, where a person would register their information to "win" a chance, and PCH has been certified with Google in order to promote this. (And I assume their rules would have been reviewed as part of the certification)

Would the same policy be applicable if I replaced "cash" with "car" as in Win a Car--that look-up points me to a MyOffers.co.uk prize -- in the sense that it is a lottery, and as long as Google certifies as such, it is permissible?

Thank you kindly!
