Can I offer clients Adword Credits?

Greetings,

I have a small online marketplace like eBay where people can buy and sell things online. After reading: http://www.google.com/ads/engage/eligibility.html , I guess my site is really a place where small/medium businesses can advertise their products online and set up their online stores.

I was wondering if my kind of business qualifies for this program so I can offer each member a $100 Google AdWord credit like I've seen other businesses do.

Thanks.

EDIT: Please note that each member sets up their own store on-site, all under our 1 domain name.

Hello Ryan,

I think I can answer at least partially to your concerns :

1) If 2 of the companies which buy subdomains from you advertise for the same keywords they will have a lower impressions share because google only shows ads from 1 domain a a time in the search campaigns.

2) They can be suspended any time for double-serving, and receive a notice that they have to prove of being separate business entities, if they use the same keywords in the same locations, because they have a common Domain.

Read more about this in the following thread and also read the link with the Double Serving policy :

https://www.en.adwords-community.com/t5/Billing/subdomains-and-adwords-accounts/td-p/94022

3) You can apply to Google Engage and see if they aprove your aplication or not.

However in other countries than US or Canada, for example France from Europe, vouchers are free directly in the google domain after you type /adwords/coupons , in a policy that is called "Pay x to get y" :

http://www.google.fr/adwords/coupons/

This means that you can provide this tip to your clients already if they are from other countries and offer them a way to take free vouchers.Perhaps as an added service you can help them with a free setup of the adwords account, but they still have to pay an amount to get the other amount.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, our site doesn't work with sub-domains. We have our URLs set up like:

http://www.mysite.com/seller/[username]/ , where [username] is whatever the account name is for the seller.
