Hi all, I would like to ask community, why my account was disabled after advertising website http://www.minibrowse.com/

I planned to implement freemium model and conversion target are registrations. I advertised on common keywords (roaming, roaming costs), and tried to advertise on few domain names as well.

Any clues please? Many thanks.

Hello there;

Could you explain how does the model of "conversion target are registrations" work?

Hi Moshe,

  registrations are not meant as model of personal info harvesting without any connection. But, we would like to be in connection with heavy users (>100 PV per session), so they can be informed while we launch mobile apps - and that will be the business model if you ask. Is it possible to advertise a website without currently finished mobile app (= ,,hard" conversion), just to provide a service like that, and to find out if/how big is interest in that kind of service?

Thank you for your reply.

As you correctly pointed out, I am suspecting that this business model, violates the information harvesting section of the policy and hence,  cannot be promoted on AdWords;

Hello, thank you for reply. Does that mean if we finish our business model to a subscription (based on higher PV limits), or point our users directly to proper Android or IOS apps (payed), this won't be harvesting any more? Our aim is not to collect emails without any purpose (free gift?), but to convert them into payed service (business).

Promoting an app on Google play is OK - It does not require a registration for downloading the app.

OK, thanks for clarification - your response is very useful, since I think this policy may be wrongly understood for the first time by some people. Can you say, if correcting (or, finishing) of business model implementation will return our account back into active state?

Hello again,

  I would like to open the case back from one reason - from what I have been assured, when somebody receive a suspensions email regarding to billing, it really is a problem with user data and not the site itself. I was thinking, if the problem is related to my IP address used during registration. Since we are located in webhosting company's office and behind firewall, I have checked our public IP and .... just an opinion .... may be the problem our IP, that is used by a few another people and as I have found, some websites are hosted on that IP as well? If I were on Google's place, I would definitely look at there IP related data and if I see a lot of another traffic in here, rather ban it. For a few banned guys this is a solution, for people like us a real problem. That's the only logical description of problem for me, because if there are any problems with the site, I think we should receive a warning first, and not suspended account directly. May it be like that or not?

No;

Google says you must be familiar with the policy before starting to advertise. So, no warning!. (Since you should have been aware that the policy violated, and not put yourself at a violation, at all).

Hmm, and what policy was violated using real person data,real credit card, and possibly suspicious IP I am not able to affect? Because, according to my information from support and forums here, billing issues are really not connected directly with promoted website policy problems, even if it might be on edge according to you. Don't you think we would receive policy violation instead of billing, in case our website was really too bad? From what I see here, I did not promote porn, drugs, violence and other really bad stuff. To be honest, I think this account has fallen into deep automated email hole together with black-hat guys because of internet provider firewall & IP we use (as another 20% of our region).
