Adwords Landing Page Policy

Not really sure how to clarify this but I'll try.

If I want to create a landing page for client and host it on my domain, under a subdomain, will Adwords allow the ad to only display the clients domain?

Example:

Clients site domain: http://clientscdomain.com

Agency site domain: http://agencydomain.com

landing page I create:  http://clientsdomain.agencydomain.com

Hey Steve, how are things?

Google won't allow you to do that.

As part of the Ads Guidelines, domains on URLs fields (like Final URL and Display URL) must match, so if you host your clients LP, your domain will need to appear.

You could have your client name along, but since your agency is the domain, your agency will appear.

If you host the LP, you could have something like:

Display URL: http://clientsdomain.agencydomain.com
Final URL: http://clientsdomain.agencydomain.com

or

Display URL: http://agencydomain.com
Final URL: http://clientsdomain.agencydomain.com

But NEVER:

Display URL: http://clientscdomain.com
Final URL: http://clientsdomain.agencydomain.com

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the quick reply.

That's what I thought. Do you have any idea how companies like Reachlocal do it? here's a sample

Hey Steve, I don't know about Reachlocal in particular, but I'm aware that some companies have different kind of authorization from Google for cases like this, similar to those websites that are kind of a catalog, where the company doesn't have a page of them, but they can create kind of a profile with some content and contact information, and the company can advertise and direct user directly to that page on the catalog. But this is something that I'd recommend for you to talk to your Google representative over the phone or wait for someone else with more knowledge on this matter Smiley Very Happy

Hope this helps,
