AdWord won't let me use company name as a keyword

Hi everyone, hope someone can advise as I am new to the forum. I have a live advert running and would like to bid on my own company name as a key word, but AdWords won't let me. It says "People don't search for this term very often, so it's not eligible to show your ads." Is there anything I can do here?

Hi Kirsten

You need to make your brand more popular and people will search for this more often. You cannot use keywords with very little impressions, like your brand now.

Thanks Lukasz, I thought this might be the case but I am new to AdWords and wanted to check!

Hi @Kirsten B,

The other strategy is using competitors brand names as your keywords to grab the traffic.

But make sure that you have great offers/USPs to attract that traffic and convert them.
