Hi Guys,

Recently I tried to readvertise after some time on adwords. But my ad was diapproved and the site suspended. I did not get ant specific reasons for this action so I am in the dark here. Here is the Message feom google:

====================
Disapproval Reason
====================
Site Policy: We've determined that your site doesn't comply with our
site policies. Because of this, any ads promoting this site have been
disapproved.

Ad Status: Disapproved
Ad Issue(s): Site Policy

Here is the website: www.swordsaxe.com

There are many companies who sell the same things we do and have their ads running. Just search "swords" on google.

Any Insight into how to fix this problem would be very helpful.

Thanks.

Hi Fishyclaw,

You have numerous weapons for sale that are against Google's AdWords Policy on weapons.

http://support.google.com/adwordspolicy/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=176077

That would be a good place to start...brass knuckles, throwing stars etc...

Dear Tom,

If that is the case then I do not understand why our competition is allowd to advertise. Following is a link to some sites and their collection of "banned" weapons.

Trueswords

There are also other. These sites are putting ads on the first page. And whats more we have the same or very similar products to sell.

Why is this the case?

Hi,

You know, I'm not on the policy team, and I don't know why your site was suspended.  I had a similar conversation with someone here who raised the same issues you are and I will copy and paste what I suggested to them:

I am not into policy enforcement and I'm afraid that using "they're doing it" defense is not going to help your specific case. I'm also unaware of any special treatment when it comes to policy.  However, this does not mean that some advertisers do not sneak through the cracks.

IMO - these are two separate issues.

1.  Submitting a complaint about another advertiser.  You should take a screenshot and capture the actual ad headline URL and submit a report here:  http://support.google.com/adwords/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=176378

2.  Fixing your site so you can advertise

I'm just sharing my thoughts...I can see clearly what the policy says and what you have on your site.  That's all I can offer. None of us have access to the policy enforcement teams or regulation nor can we access your account.

Wish I had more for you but I don't and I can't guarantee that you've been suspended because of the items on your site...it's just an observation.
