Account is Under Pay Day Loans Filter and We do not do Payday loans!

We do not advertise PayDay loans, yet Adwords keep denying our campaigns.

3 Years ago, the company that I am working for, did advertisement for Payday Loans, ever since account is under the filter…

Approximately 2 years ago when I took over the account, I was able to approve some campaigns. It took me 1 months, 27 hours on the phone and email with Google Support, Supervisor and manager.

PARADOX

Now, when I am trying to set up a new campaign, it goes under the filter immediately, when I am trying to change UTM tags or anything else – it goes under the filter…Old campaign, that were approved for, are working, but I can’t optimize it, do A/B tests, simply change the landing page – it would go under the filter immediately.

None of the specialists that I talked today, could give me correct answers…

My questions are simple

  1. why old campaigns are showing up, and new campaigns (with the exact everything) going under the filter
  2. And “Why our competitors, that not even licensed in our state are not under the filter

Is anyone here could help here with this? We are licensed Arizona business with 8 locations  and have a solid budget and I’am tired to speak for hours with Adwords.. specialists

Thank you in advance ,

@Vadim G

Please remove your CID since this is a public forum and you do not wish your CID indexed...

Any change can trigger an account review. What is the current status of the account? If it is under review, nothing much to do at the moment until the review is completed.

Hi @Vadim G,

Did your account get suspended in the past? Are you using a new AdWords account or the previous one used with the previous company?

It sounds like you are using the old AdWords account and simply attempting to create a "new campaign" which will never work (if this is what you are doing). Campaigns below to accounts and accounts belong to one business.

Also, if you had any AdWords accounts suspended in the past, those suspensions go against you, too. When you operate AdWords, you are taking responsibility for any and all actions.

Please note that no one can access your account (or any others) and we cannot supersede AdWords in any way. We can assist with the proper operations of AdWords... which means following policy and best practices, while providing our personal advice based on many, many years of AdWords experience.

Kind Regards,

James

Currently, the review has to be completed. Probably the history of the account  contributed a bit  to triggering a review. You should wait until the review  is completed.

Sorry to hear that Vadim,  Moshe is correct, by default, any financial services loan products with identifiable triggers go under the "Consumer Advisory - pay day loans" until it can be manually reviewed.  However, I will also say "Pay Day Loans" is a bit of a misnomer as it pertains to Adwords policy.  A better way to look at is "Short Term Loans and Short Term high rates."

In reality, Google has a Short Term loan policy, not just pay day loans. Its important to really understand Google stance on Short Term loans and make sure you company doesn't violate that in any way, shape or form.

Also, I don't know if you are a lead aggregator or the primary lender, but sometimes lead aggregators work with lenders who still have short term loan products the lead aggregator doesn't know about and they get dinged for it as the advertiser.

Lastly, do you monetize leads that don't get a loan?  That type of sales funnel can often violate financial services short term loan policy based upon what and how you are doing it.
