My account got suspened for violation of Google's Advertising policies in either of two accounts linked to my MCC. The other account does not have any suspension message? How do I find out which policy was violated and how do I un-suspend my account?

Hi

Here's the suspension email I got from Google:

Your AdWords account has been suspended because it doesn't comply with our Advertising Policies and our AdWords Terms and Conditions. Please note that this means your account and any related accounts have been suspended, you can't create any new accounts, and your ads will no longer run on Google, our search partners, or on Display Network placements.

If this is an error, we want to get your account back up and running as quickly as possible, and your Google team is here to help.

This is the website URL: http://www.bephone.com/b.Elite/index.html

None of my Ads have been disapproved and the campaign has been receiving clicks and impressions since the date I started the campaign.

I've just today received the below email from Google:

We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with your AdWords account.

We’d like to let you know that your account is currently under review and we’re prioritizing this over other issues you may have written to us about. Our Specialists already know about this issue, and an investigation is underway. We periodically review accounts for security purposes and to verify billing information. We'll send you an update after the investigation is complete, typically within three business days.

Once we provide you with an update, please feel free to reply to this email if you have any questions regarding your AdWords account or contact us through http://adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/request.py.

I'm wondering if the suspension has anything to do with the fact that the billing address and payment for the account is from Pakistan while the actual campaigns are launched from Dubai.

Eagerly awaiting your advice

Thank you & regards

OK; account is currently under review. That's the reason it is currently suspended. Google does not disclose the reason triggered the review.

I have been suspeneded, without warning, is this normal pratice for google to operate in this way? My business is suffering, and I cannot speak to anyone in google to get an answer that is not a copy and paste.

If I have breached a policy, surely normal business practice, for any respectible operation, is to A) provide a warning and advice on exactly what has been breached. B) provide a solution to the advertising so that it does not happen again.

80% of my business comes from google, and it looks as though I will have to lay off staff just to keep afloat now, and possibly shut my business down.

How can they not offer advertisers a solution?

I then tried setting up another account, thinking that it must have been some sort of error, that account was immediately suspeneded, however Google have now taken money from my credit card, what the heck is going on? Surely if it was never approved, taking funds from my card for a service that was never supplied is illegal.

If I was you I would be proactive in identifying the cause without the need from someone in Google Adwords to tell you... If you take the time to read the Adwords rules its actually not to difficult to see what the problem is most likely the cause... In my opinion the following are the typical ones:

1) User safety - lacking disclaimers, disclosures, privacy, terms etc.. In addition you need to avoid anything which can be seen as exaggerated claims.
2) Avoid popups, exit captures etc which inhibit user viewing and actions such as attempting to navigate away
3) Avoid collecting emails on your landing pages i.e. Info Harvesting policy prevents that..
4) Do not promote products as an affiliate due to Bridge Policy

If I was you - I would take steps to make some changes and point out that you are willing to keep making changes for as long as it takes when making a submission for review.... Make sure to document your changes and provide that as part of your submission...

As mentioned... Be proactive and make changes first and then see what happens.... As then you will be seen as having learned from your mistakes and are unlikely to repeat it... Best of luck!
