Got this message yesterday

 

Hello AdWords Advertiser,

Your AdWords account has been suspended because it doesn't comply with our Advertising Policies and our AdWords Terms and Conditions. Please note that this means your account and any related accounts have been suspended, you can't create any new accounts, and your ads will no longer run on Google, our search partners, or on Display Network placements.

If this is an error, we want to get your account back up and running as quickly as possible, and your Google team is here to help. Here's the account:

I haven't used adwords though I probably signed up for an account so I think this message is probably in error. I can provide by customer ID to anyone who can help.

Hi dc88 and welcome to the Community.  Some of the wording in that email is a little off and not what I've seen before in suspension emails.  After the account details there would normally be a line saying which policy was breached.  What's in your email after this line?

 

I suspect this may be a phishing attack.  Are there any links in the email?  If so, do they point to a "proper" Google URL or are they pointing somewhere odd?

Hmm, well I have to say that does look legit, the wording is just a little odd, but then again I've not seen a lot of suspension notices Smiley Happy

 

Your best bet is to get in touch with AdWords support, they'll let you know pretty quickly what your best next steps are:

Well that's what I thought I was doing with this post. Isn't this adWords support?

 

Should I send an email or message instead. I click send a message and there is no option to dispute by suspension. I read this thread on reddit recently:

It's about google's automated ban system suspending innocent users and I thought I might have been a victim and that this would have been cleared up by now.
