Hello Everyone,

I opened up a google adwords account few month back which was running fine until yesterday where I hired a random ppc guy from freelance who told me he would optimize my account and charge me for the same which I agreed. He did some changes in my adwords campaigns and for few hours everything was fine then all of sudden by account had a suspension message.

Today I got an email from Adwords Team -

Hello,

Your AdWords account has been suspended because it does not comply with our "Misrepresentation of self, product or service" policy on untrustworthy promotions.

Policy violation:
Untrustworthy promotions

About this violation:
When we suspend an advertiser for untrustworthy promotions, it typically means that there is something fundamentally wrong with the business itself, posing an immediate threat to our users' safety – whether online or offline. Examples of untrustworthy behaviour include enticing users to part with money or information under false or unclear pretences, presenting a false identity, business name or contact information; charging users for products or services typically available for free and sites that are "phishing" for users' information.

We take untrustworthy promotions very seriously and consider them to be an egregious violation of our policies. In determining whether an advertiser or site is untrustworthy, we may review information from multiple sources including your ad, website, accounts and third party sources. Advertisers or sites that are found to be untrustworthy will be immediately suspended and won't be allowed to advertise with us again.

Our specialists have completed a thorough review of your account, site and ads and have suspended your account only after concluding with high confidence that you have violated our policies. We reinstate accounts only if there's compelling evidence that we made an error. If you believe we've made an error, you can appeal this decision with any additional information you can provide.

Thank you for your co-operation.

As I have lot of hope with Google Adwords and have invested some huge amount into staffing and other things, I would really want to get back to Google Adwords, If there is anything which I have done wrong or any policy which is not followed I will make sure it's updated as per google guidelines and ensure to follow each and every policy in future.

Please check and Help me out.

Good morning.

You need to go through the policies, check your website and your AdWords account to make certain that no active violations are in place, and then contact Google directly to request a review of your suspension.

Hi Cintrix
It's very unlikely that the freelancer actually caused this. What likely happened is that the freelancer made changes that forced the account to be reviewed. This would have happened ANYWAY.

The problem is your website. You didn't link to it so I cannot offer any specific advice. However, I'd encourage you to read the policy that AdWords says that you violated. For this particular policy, I have never seen AdWords get it wrong. I am of course open to seeing otherwise.

If they got it right, and again, it's likely that they did, you will not be allowed to advertise your site in it's current form any longer. This is a fundamental business model issue and not something that you can tweak on your landing pages usually.

Hi Cintrix
I'd do a search on the forum for "tech support". You'll find, quite literally, thousands of posts discussing this issue.

Dave,
Thank you for your reply, Our business model includes Website Development, Search Engine Optimization, Pay Per Click Marketing, Mobile App Development, Software Development, Email Marketing and Technical Support. We have an array of services provided under one roof and Tech Support is a just 10% of our business model. We got our adwords account since November 2014 and to be frank we had Adwords reps helping us creating our campaigns and emails informing what to do in-order to get more clicks. If this business was not as per google then we should have been informed of suspended at the first place not after almost a year when we start expanding our business plans. If we are not comfortable with someone coming in our home then simply we don't invite them, it's not we first invite them, ask them what would they prefer to eat and once they feel comfortable I will ask them to get out. That's absurd. We are not asking any exclusion or exemption from google with their policy as there are other companies running their advertisement so why not us as we also have a strong physical presence in USA and we take full responsibility by ensuring running this business smoothly and adhering all USA laws.

Hi Cintrix
Unfortunately, Google is very strict on this issue. I really cannot elaborate further about tech support than has already been said in the thousands of other posts. You simply won't be allowed to advertise that service, even if it is accompanied with other unrelated services like in your case.

The problem is the tech support and I don't have the power to grant any sort of exemption. There's nothing more I can do right now, I don't work for Google. I'd suggest that you contact support if you want to make a complaint directly. However, they'll just tell you the same thing about the tech support.

Sorry I can't be of any more assistance.
