A quick question/help required please

I will try to be as brief as possible for you guys.

My website was down while my web developer was working/doing some changes and updates.

I paused my ads. This I have now learnt triggers a 'review'.

I received the violation Destination URL not working. In my stupidity I thought my ads were paused so it wouldn't be a problem. I am now educated on this.

In my stupidity #2 I was also happily editing away, not realising every saved change trigger another 'review' and after receiving my second violation I stopped editing my ads.

However, I either edited them too much or it took too long to get my website back up (1 week) but Google AdWords suspended my account.

I have now completely read up on the policies and spoke to my AdWords manager on the telephone and made sure to include everything she told me my website should include.

I have been over and over my website, tested all the links, looked at it in all browser and mobile types and believe that I have made sure my website is no longer in violation with any Google Policies.

So my question is, can someone who is a bit more tech savvy than me please just do a quick check over my website and just make sure I am not doing anything that I should not be before I submit my review to hopefully get my account reinstated as Google in BOLD Please be aware that we can't process your request unless our terms and conditions are met.

Thanks kindly for your time,

Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for posting!

Yes, if your website is down for maintenance, it can result in your ads being disapproved or your website being suspended until it is functioning again. But not to worry - I'm sure you'll be back online very shortly!

I took a look at your website, and I can't see any obvious policy issues. One of the main issues faced by many advertisers is a lack of physical address displayed on websites. However I can see that you have your physical contact information clearly stated throughout your website. I'd recommend getting back in touch with AdWords Support to request a re-review of your website.

Best of luck!

My experience has shown that for locksmith services a pricing plan is required.

Hi Moshe, I unfortunately already sent away for my review before your reply after receiving a green tick from Rachel's reply. I have since received a return email from Google saying my account has been re-reviewed and is confirmed to be in violation and this is final. I'm still very confused about this because I have consulted with both my Adwords manager and the Adwords community here who have both said I think everything is okay (apart from the pricing suggestion you have made). My violation was for Destination URL not working and I'm just confused if I am breaching other policies outside of this one after the suspension. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Again thanks for your time. Tim

I have just been on the phone with my tech support. She was a very friendly and helpful lady and she reviewed my situation and indeed found that my official breach is that my "site is not working". She then logged onto my website and agreed that my website is indeed working and I informed her that I have tested it multiple times on different browser types and mobiles. She was very helpful and said that yes from her point of view my site is working and that she would consult my case to a specialist and that I will hear back in a few days.

I would also greatly appreciate any help or support you may be able to assist me get back onto my feet. As I do realise that I am only a small fry for such a large company I do feel that I can still be a model client and have in no way set out to spam or deceive google in any way and have done my absolute best to make sure that I abide by the rules and contribute what would be a good experience for googles users. Thanks again Tim

Hi Tim,

Thanks for getting back in touch. It sounds like when you were making changes, your website went down. This caused your ads do be disapproved and your website to be suspended. Once the AdWords Support Rep contacts the Policy Team, I'm sure they will be able to rectify this for you. If there are other issues impacting your account, the Rep will let you know what they may be.

Let us know how you get on!

@RachelM was ahead of me.

As she suggested, let's wait for  a reply from a policy specialist to whom the case was referred. If we were to escalate the case (also) from our side, most likely, it would be "intercepted" within Google.

Keep us posted, as soon as you hear from Google again.

Hi guys,

I did not hear back from my tech support after 7 days so I recontacted today and received a different lady which is okay and she said that she would talk to the consultant and get back to me within hours with any changes she finds out are required. An hour later I received another email saying I've been re-reviewed and same thing account is in breach of their policy.

I think what's happening is that my ad is still disapproved (disapproval reason: site not working) I changed the ad around but receive and instant reply saying still disapproved. Now I thought about just deleting the ad in question but I've read somewhere on here previously that this will not resolve anything.

So now I've come to the conclusion of completely re-writing the ad and use a different landing page from a different URL within my website ie: the services page and attempt to get the disapproved ad cleared before contacting the tech support again. With all new keywords also.

Does this sound like a good idea?

Thanks again for any suggestions,
Tim
